FEATURES:
- Non-reversible.
- A rubber can cable-guard protects the flexible cable at the point of entry to the plug.
- The Scraping-earth feature ensures that the earth connection is made before and broken after the main circuit connections and prevents the earth contect of the plug from being inadvertently inserted into the live contact-tube of any sockets.
- The plug-shroud and cable guard provide adequate protection against arcing if the plug is inserted on a short-circuit.
- The plug-shroud protects the pins from damage, ensures that the fingers cannot touch the pins when making contacts with socket tubes and prevents overhang.
- Visible earth terminals enable a ready check of earthing connections to be made.
- All contact tubes are deeply recessed.
- All weatherproof fittings are provided with screwed coupling-rings to seal the joint between plug and socket and to secure the socket cover when the plug is not in use. Socket covers which merely push on are available for indoor situations where protection is needed from dust-laden atmospheres.
- Simple assembly and easy wiring are ensured by unique constructional features including contact tubes easily removable as a whole with their terminals for wiring by hand.
- For special installations where different voltages or frequencies are in use, plug and sockets of the same current-rating and polarity can be made non-interchangable by fitting spigots to the plug portions and slotting the sockets accordingly.
